Kristin Carpenter‘s been floating serves in all season. The Penn State-bound star got word from her future team – let’s work on that jump serve.
Too bad for Atlee, Carpenter unveiled it to the fullest Wednesday night, putting in 10 aces to lead Hanover to the Capital District tournament title 3-0 over Atlee at Lee-Davis.
Carpenter also threw in 18 powerful kills and seven digs in a complete effort.
Katie Hudencial (29 assists, eight digs, two aces, two blocks), Kimberly Browning (six kills, six blocks) and Taylour Hopkins (seven kills, six digs, two blocks) were another trio of seniors that claimed yet another district crown.
The Hawks will host Prince George Monday in the first round of the Central Region tournament, while the Raiders will travel to Central District champion Thomas Dale.
The Raiders were led by terrific freshman Meg Bowers (eight digs, five kills) and Rachael Winfrey (six kills, five digs, two aces).
