A high-school player would be lucky to hit one game-winning shot in a career.
Maybe a layup to break a tie, or a free throw to seal the deal.
But Jordan Boze prefers long distance and high odds.
Lee-Davis’ junior hit his second game-winning 3-point shot in three days, beating Patrick Henry with a trey ball on Wednesday, and Hanover Friday.
Same spot, similar play, sensational, unbelievable results.
“Their focus is unbelievable during the timeouts,” Lee-Davis coach Tripp Metzger said. “I told them after the game that is what won the game. They listen during the timeout.
“Tremendous job to execute a play and great job by Jordan Boze knocking it down.”
Boze had three treys in the Patrick Henry, 66-65 thriller, and five in the 55-54 win over Hanover, helping Lee-Davis to an 8-8 record.
So how many more 3-point, game-winners will Boze hit?
“If it comes up again, I guess there’s a chance I could make one,” said Boze.
